چکیده

Abstract Multi-material bulk metal components allow for a resource efficient and functionally structured component design, with load adaptation achieved in certain functional areas by using similar dissimilar material combinations. One possibility the production of hybrid is Tailored Forming, which pre-joined semi-finished products are hot-formed novel process chains. By means properties joining zone geometrically thermomechanically influenced during forming process. Based on this motivation, processes (die forging, impact extrusion) coupled adapted inductive heating strategies were designed numerical simulations successfully realised following work order to produce demonstrator serial or coaxial arrangements. The quality was investigated through metallographic SEM imaging, tensile tests life cycle tests. selecting suitable materials, it possible achieve weight savings 22% pinion shaft up 40% bearing bush combination steel aluminium sufficient strength respective application. It shown that intermetallic phases formed after friction welding barely grow adjusting heat treatment aluminium, growth IMP can also be reduced step. Furthermore, steel-steel alloy 51% regard chromium could when low-alloy as substitute high-alloy parts less loaded sections. welded microstructure cladded washer transformed into homogeneous fine-grained forming. lifetime tailored washers nearly reached those high-alloyed mono-material components.

Investigation of hot metal gas forming process of square parts

Aluminum alloys are considered a lot in the automotive and aerospace industry because of their high strength to weight ratio. In this manuscript, the gas forming process of aluminum AA6063 tubes at high temperatures up to 500°C is investigated, through experimental and numerical tests. Therefore, an experimental setup is prepared and so, tube specimens are formed in a die with square cross sect...

Introduction to Bulk-Forming Processes

METALWORKING consists of deformation processes in which a metal billet or blank is shaped by tools or dies. The design and control of such processes depend on the characteristics of the workpiece material, the conditions at the tool/workpiece interface, the mechanics of plastic deformation (metal flow), the equipment used, and the finished-product requirements. These factors influence the selec...

Unusual glass-forming ability of bulk amorphous alloys based on ordinary metal copper.

We report the unusual glass-forming ability (GFA) of a family of Cu-based alloys, Cu46Zr47-xAl7Yx (0<x< or =10, in at. %), and investigate the origin of this unique property. By an injection mold casting method, these alloys can be readily solidified into amorphous structures with the smallest dimension ranging from 4 mm up to 1 cm without detectable crystallinity. Such superior GFA is found pr...

The Friction Models Integration in Calculation of Bulk Metal Forming Technologies by Finite Volume Method

The usage of the finite volume method (FVM) for calculation of bulk metal forming working pressure is described in this paper. FVM is applied on two-dimensional orthogonal grids and colocated variable arrangement. The application of the FVM is done in case of solving the plastic flow during extrusion processes with different boundary conditions. The method of involving of the most frequently us...

Prediction of Instability in Planar Anisotropic Sheet Metal Forming Processes

In this paper instability of planar anisotropic sheet metal during a few forming processes is investigated for the first time. For this reason components of the constitutive tangent tensor for planar anisotropic sheets are developed. By using the above tensor location of necking is predicted. Direction of the shear band is also predicted using the acoustic tensor. A finite element program is pr...
